To be classed as a microfiber ,the resulting threads need t obe less than one denier in size ,which is at lease 1/6 th the diameter of a human hair,good quality microfiber threads can be up to 1/16th the diameter oa a muman hair.
Each microfiber undergoes a special process which adds slits around its circumference.creating filaments typically 100 times finer than a human hair which are bonded to a nylon core.
The polyamide nylon core is hydrophilic ,which means it has a chemical affinity to water .
The polyester is lyophilic and attracts oils.dirt and grime which will bond directly within the fibers until washed out .
